Discuss universal safety rules
1. Treat all firearm as if they are loaded
2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are aimed and ready to shoot.
4. Be aware of your target and it's background.
Interactive Learning
If it’s your very first time shooting handguns, don’t worry. We can start with plastic dummy guns, to airsoft, to live fire with different pistol calibers, we will learn and work on your shooting fundamentals. These will include stance, posture, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, recoil management, follow through, malfunction clearing, field stripping and cleaning, etc. If it’s not your first time, let’s figure out your current level and tailor your experience!
Live fire experience
You’re here to shoot guns and that’s exactly what we’ll do! You can practice with your own firearms or you can use the variety of handguns available to try during the class.
Wrap up
Discuss your experience, what did you like most, what you thought could be better, and what next steps to take after your first class. Perhaps that’s discussing recommendations for guns or gear, scheduling your next lesson, or the steps to get your concealed carry license.
